Why Church Lynk?
The idea that would become Church Lynk started in 2020 when I was doing a residency with a church's high school ministry. We had to do an end-of-residency project, so I sought to solve a problem that students actually faced: not staying connected to a church in college.
My goal was to create a resource that could connect graduating high school seniors with churches in the college towns where they would be living. I started gathering information about universities and nearby churches, but at the time the project never fully came together.
A few years later, while working as a web developer for a missions organization, the idea came back to mind. This time I realized I had the technical skills to actually build the resource I had imagined.
So I started coding and Church Lynk was born.

Church directories exist, but they just list churches and often contain out of date information.
We're not just listing churches. At Church Lynk, we are facilitating the connection process and have procedures in place to ensure that all information is current.
